University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign Orientation Went by myself for orientation at UIUC. I arrived a day early along with Dan from Boston and we spent the first day walking around. Then the next day we met Albert from Oregon and Greg from Chicago and we went through two days of insanely boring information sessions. Registration is the most confusing thing ever devised. On my way back I went through the worst storm of my life. Tornado siren went off, everything turned black, power went out at the airport. I took the bus to the airport and at the steps of every building, there were people standing in groups staring up at the sky looking for a tornado. At the airport, they had to do a security check with their hands meaning they went through everything. Fortunately, out of like the 4-5 flights flying out, mine was the only one not cancelled. The International Airport at Detroit has a indoor Tram/Monorail System...awesome And this totally trippy tunnel with moving lights and trance music The Beckman Institute The best looking part of campus...the Engineering quad Grainger Engineering Library More of the Engineering Quad Even the flowers are blue (almost) and orange I found my substitute for Chipotle. Chipotle needs to have three cheese nachos and stuff like Qdoba's. *drool* The Union at night This swarm of ants before it started to rain. That is a QUARTER. And here it comes...
